Abdihakim Ainte is a writer and researcher on Somalia and beyond. He is currently the co-founder of iRise Hub, Somalia's first innovation and technology space which aims to of leverage technology as a tool for empowering young people and creating employment opportunities. Prior to launching this, he was advisor to the Somali government and many international organizations in various capacities. He’s fellow senior policy fellow at The Heritage Institute for Policy Studies (HIPS), the first think-tank based in Mogadishu. He regularly contributes to www.africaargument.org, and numerous other international media outlets.
